How it works
Both calculations use the same relationship between percent, part, and whole. 15% of $200 is (15/100) × 200 = $30 — that's the "percent of a value" case above. Flip it around and $40 out of $160 is (40/160) × 100 = 25% — that's the "X is what percent of Y" case below.
